I'm sad to report that Greta is not pregnant, so there will be no puppies this summer. I feel so sad and let down, but what can you do? Wait 7 months and we will try again. I guess it just wasn't meant to be.

Puppies?

We are hoping for a litter of standard wire-haired dachshunds in June. We'll know for sure at the end of April. Meanwhile, I thought I would post some pictures from our previous litter.

Arnie and Anneliese At The Veterinarian's

Today was their first year shots day at the Veterinary.

Arnie weighed in at 18.8 pounds and Anneliese was 16.2 pounds. Both were in excellent health, and they received all of their yearly shots. It was an exciting event for them, and in many ways lot of fun too. You see this was the place where they were born, and this was the doctor who delivered them. So it was a nice home coming for the puppies.

Dackel Princess' Arnold (Arnie)

Arnie went to his first Zuchtschau in September of 2007. He was given a rating of Verzuglich (or Excellent). He has a wonderful personality, is athletic and comes from strong German lines.
